Nordic Capital makes the “Private Equity Rising Stars” list for the fifth consecutive year

MAY 23 2017

Joel Davidkin, Director at NC Advisory Oy, advisor to the Nordic Capital Funds, has been included in the "2017 Private Equity Rising Stars" list compiled by Financial News and Private Equity News.

This is the fifth consecutive year a Nordic Capital investment professional has been included in the list. In 2017, the list was reduced to only 25 young executives (rather than 40 as in previous years), narrowing the selection further.

Kristoffer Melinder, Managing Partner, NC Advisory AB, advisor to the Nordic Capital Funds commented: "We are very proud that Nordic Capital has again been recognised on this list, especially given that the selection process was even more competitive this year. It is great to see Joel recognised and we congratulate him on this notable and well deserved achievement. Joel is a key member of our healthcare team and was instrumental in the development and recent listing of ConvaTec, the largest European healthcare IPO in over 20 years."

Kristoffer continues: "Nordic Capital is committed to attracting the highest quality individuals to its investment team, which is one of the largest and most experienced in Europe. Teamwork lies at the heart of our culture and our team is the cornerstone of our continued success."

Joel joined NC Advisory Oy in March 2012 from Goldman Sachs and was promoted to Director in January 2016. He helped prepare the global medical products and technologies company ConvaTec for its London listing in 2016. Joel also worked on the merger of the leading European credit service provider Lindorff and Stockholm-listed Intrum Justitia, which was announced in November 2016 and is now pending regulatory approval.

Candidates for "Private Equity Rising Stars" are assessed by Financial News and Private Equity News' editorial panel on four criteria: achievements to date given their age (including career progression, expertise, performance and successes, particularly in the past 12-18 months), the stature of their mentors, firepower at their disposal and their potential to reach a position of great influence. They must be under the age of 40 and work in EMEA. The full list is available at www.penews.com and www.efinancialnews.com.
