Peter Thorninger, Operating Partner and Head of Operations Advisory at Nordic Capital Advisors, has been named one of the Future 40 Mid-Market Investment Leaders for 2025 by leading industry publication Real Deals.
This year’s Future 40 Mid-Market Investment Leaders list, in association with Finatal, recognises the investment leaders who have not only excelled in their roles but also made significant contributions within their firms and to the broader private equity community.
Peter has been a driving force behind the development of the Operations Advisory platform since joining the firm in 2016. Promoted to Operating Partner in 2022, he now leads a growing team of more than 25 professionals dedicated to operational excellence and supporting value creation in Nordic Capital portfolio companies. In the past year alone, more than 235 operational projects were carried out under his leadership.
A cornerstone of Peter’s contribution has been the establishment of structured playbooks and a collaborative community model across the Nordic Capital portfolio, enabling businesses to share best practices in key areas such as Commercial, Digitalisation, HR, Procurement, Sustainability and Finance. His hands-on approach continues to strengthen Nordic Capital’s role as an active partner in building competitive and sustainable market leaders.
