Nordic Capital makes the “Rising Stars of European Private Equity” list for the seventh year running

MAY 21 2019

Pär Norberg, Head of Investor Relations at Nordic Capital, has been included in the “Rising Stars of European Private Equity 2019” annual list compiled by Financial News and Private Equity News.

In a record year for deals and fundraising, 25 rising stars of European private equity stand out as the most promising dealmakers, fundraisers, advisers and investor relations experts under the age of 40. This is the seventh consecutive year a member at Nordic Capital has been included in the list

Pär Norberg, 37, joined the advisor to the Nordic Capital Funds in 2014 and was promoted to Head of Investor Relations in 2018. Pär’s responsibilities include investor communication, relationship management, co-investments and fundraising, most recently that of Nordic Capital Fund IX which closed 23% above target at EUR 4.3 billion in 2018. Pär also made a valuable contribution to the team that set up Nordic Capital’s continuation vehicle “CV1” valued at EUR 2.5 billion, a transaction which remains the largest global GP-led secondaries deal. Pär was also named one of Sweden’s “Super Talents” by Swedish business magazine Veckans Affärer last week.

Kristoffer Melinder, Managing Partner at the advisor to the Nordic Capital Funds commented: "Pär is highly deserving of this award and we are really pleased that a member of our team at Nordic Capital has been recognised on this list for the seventh year running. The award is particularly notable at a time where we see fundraising hit record highs and increasing competition in the sector for talented individuals. Pär was instrumental in the successful completion of our recent fundraising, Nordic Capital Fund IX which was completed in only 7 months. We are very proud to have one of the largest and most highly experienced teams in European private equity and are committed to nurturing the talent of the individuals who work here.”

Pär previously worked for HgCapital in London where his most recent role was as an Associate Director in the Portfolio Management team. Prior to that he worked in the Investment Banking Division at Citigroup in London. Pär holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics.
