Esser becomes part of Nordic Capital-backed corpuls

DECEMBER 23 2025

The companies Hans Peter Esser and corpuls are writing the next chapter of their shared success story together. The Bavarian medical technology company corpuls is merging with its long-standing sales and service partner and will take on all employees. As before, they will continue to operate from the site in Kürten, North Rhine-Westphalia, supporting customers as usual. With this step, all former German sales and service partners are now part of the corpuls family.

“We are delighted to carry this successful partnership into a shared future. This step establishes an excellent foundation for further progress and continued growth in our home market,” says Dr. Christoph Brönnimann, CEO of corpuls. He emphasises: “By pooling our strengths, we benefit from numerous synergies: increased customer proximity enables us to better align all processes, act more flexibly in the market, and expand our expertise through an experienced, well-coordinated team.”

A decades-long and trusted partnership
Both companies were founded in 1982, and since then the team based in North Rhine-Westphalia have successfully distributed and serviced corpuls solutions. This more than 40-year partnership now enters a decisive, forward-looking phase with the merger: the team will become a subsidiary of corpuls (note: completion of the transaction is subject to the granting of the required merger-control approvals). All 41 employees will continue to support customers from the Kürten location as before.

Stronger together: benefits for all involved
Managing Directors Stephan Heller and Bastian Starke will remain in their positions. They emphasise: “We share a long-standing, trusting cooperation; we are therefore building on a solid foundation and look forward to the new chapters we will write together. corpuls has ambitious plans for the future, and we are now part of these exciting developments.” The new colleagues will also be a great asset to corpuls, notes Michael Heller, Chief Commercial and Strategy Officer at corpuls, who has known the Esser team for 20 years: “The customer proximity and trust that the team in Kürten has built are exceptional. We will learn a great deal from this subsidiary, just as we are already experiencing synergies with our other recently integrated partners.”

All four former German sales and service partners are now part of the corpuls family. Together with its subsidiaries, the Bavarian company aims to harness this combined strength to further expand service provision throughout Germany, open up new markets, and continue driving growth.
