Swedish business magazine Veckans Affärer has for the twelfth consecutive year listed Sweden’s 101 Super Talents. Nordic Capital is proud to announce that the talent of its team has once again been recognised with Pär Norberg, Head of Investor Relations ranked #5 in the Finance category on this year’s list.
Pär Norberg, 37, joined the Advisor to the Nordic Capital Funds in 2014 and was promoted to Head of Investor Relations in 2018. Pär’s responsibilities include investor communication, relationship management, co-investments and fundraising, most recently that of Nordic Capital Fund IX in 2018.
Pär’s career has predominantly been in private equity, both as an investment and IR professional. Prior to joining Nordic Capital, he worked for HgCapital in London from 2008 to 2013 as Associate Director in the Portfolio Management team. From 2006 to 2008 he worked in the Investment Banking Division at Citigroup in London. Pär holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics.
Nordic Capital is currently investing via Nordic Capital Fund IX that closed in 2018 with EUR 4.3 bn in committed capital. Fund IX exceeded its EUR 3.5 bn target in 7 months, and closed 23% above target, having enjoyed a re-up rate of over 70% from investors in predecessor funds, while also attracting commitments from a number of new investors.
“The Nordic Capital Fund IX fundraising was led by the in-house Investor Relations team, in which Pär played a pivotal role. His ability to get equity syndication across the finish line in time with full coverage has enabled the Nordic Capital Funds to close several larger deals. Furthermore, Pär made a valuable contribution to the process setting up Nordic Capital’s continuation vehicle, “CV1”, valued at EUR 2.5 billion and which remains the largest GP-led transaction of its kind globally. We are proud that Pär and Nordic Capital have been recognised in this context. Pär is a hardworking, highly dedicated and appreciated colleague”, says Kristoffer Melinder, Managing Partner at the Advisor to the Nordic Capital Funds.
