Daniel Berglund and Joel Davidkin, both Directors of advisors to the Nordic Capital Funds, have been included in the “Real Deals Future 40” list of young talented Private Equity (“PE”) professionals.
When the PE-magazine RealDeals published its 400th issue this month, a list of 40 talented PE professional under the age of 40 was included. RealDeals introduced the list with the following comment “We believe these young dealmakers will write the next chapter in Private Equity’s story.”
Kristoffer Melinder, Managing Partner, NC Advisory AB, advisor to the Nordic Capital Funds commented: "I am very proud that Nordic Capital and the strength of its advisory team have once again been recognised. Our team is the foundation of our continued success. Joel and Daniel have both excellent business skills and they are also good representatives of our collaborative and team-spirited culture.”
Daniel Berglund joined in January 2010 and at the outset established himself as a key member of the technology and payments team, contributing to Nordic Capital portfolio companies such as electronic payments provider Point and Itiviti, a capital markets technology provider. He was also instrumental in the planning and creation of global payment company Bambora in 2014 and its subsequent EUR 1.5 bn exit this summer in what was one of the largest technology deals in Europe this year.
Joel Davidkin joined in March 2012 and has been influential in some major acquisition projects, as well as in planning and launching some of Nordic Capital’s flagship deals over the last 12 months, including the listing of ConvaTec on the London Stock Exchange (the largest European healthcare IPO in more than 20 years) and the industry-shifting combination of Lindorff and Intrum Justitia.
