OCTOBER 26 2026
Alloheim Group (“Alloheim” or “the Group”), Germany's largest private stationary care provider[1], today announced a change of its anchor shareholder. TA Associates (“TA”), a leading global investor with deep healthcare experience, will become Alloheim’s anchor shareholder, supporting the Group’s continued commitment to high-quality care and its growth ambitions. Alloheim's strategy, management, operational direction and commitment to accessible, high-quality professional care for the elderly across Germany will remain unchanged. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals, including merger control clearance, and is expected in the first quarter of 2027 (Q1 2027).
Since 2018, the Group has grown into Germany’s largest private stationary care provider, integrating more than 160 facilities, including more than 30 through its most recent acquisitions, bringing its total capacity to over 320 senior residences. Over the same period, Alloheim’s workforce has more than doubled to approximately 30,000 employees, contributing to a well-functioning and sustainable healthcare system in Germany. The Group maintains consistently high occupancy and high standards of care across the breadth of its portfolio, underpinned by one of the sector’s most advanced quality management systems
In 2025, Alloheim was voted “Operator of the Year” by an industry panel (EXPO Living & Care, CARE INVEST) and was also recognized as a Top Employer 2026 (Top Employers Institute). The Group’s leading position in care quality was most recently confirmed by an independent analysis from Pflegemarkt.com[2], based on the inspection results of the Medical Service (Medizinischer Dienst) across all large care providers, both non-profit and private.
Building on the strong foundation established by Alloheim’s management team and Nordic Capital in recent years, TA, with a track record of more than 50 years of partnering with healthcare providers, will actively support Alloheim’s continued growth while reinforcing the Group’s focus on quality leadership and further advancing its delivery of multi-professional care. Alloheim’s locations, management teams and local points of contact remain unchanged following the change of anchor shareholder. Nordic Capital, which has supported Alloheim's development since 2018, will exit its full holding at the closing of the transaction.
“We are continuing our course: qualitative growth, financial stability and our ambition to keep rethinking care remain our guiding principles – so that our residents and their families can continue to rely on consistently high, verifiable quality of care. With TA, we are taking the next step together with a partner who shares exactly that vision", said Steffen Hehner, CEO of Alloheim Group.
