Supporting innovative and inclusive education initiatives is a key focus area for Nordic Capital’s social engagement agenda. Nordic Capital supports Human Practice Foundation (HPF), an organisation working to improve access to quality education and create better opportunities for children and their communities.
Founded in Denmark in 2014, Human Practice Foundation works with schools and local communities to create lasting improvements in education. Its approach combines investments in school infrastructure with initiatives to strengthen teaching and learning, as well as economic empowerment for families and students. To date, HPF has completed 115 school building projects and reached approximately 45,000 children.
HPF takes a holistic approach through its Child Empowerment Model. Beyond school infrastructure, its programmes include teacher training, educational facilities, water and sanitation, life skills and student support, as well as engagement with school management and parents. Economic empowerment initiatives also help families strengthen their livelihoods and enable students to develop practical skills for life beyond school.
A key part of HPF’s approach is its local presence and close collaboration with local governments and communities, with the aim of creating sustainable improvements that extend beyond the classroom.
