140,000 patients. GHD operates as a truly integrated business
including the production of medical supplies and compounded
pharmaceuticals, and strong wholesale and logistics activities. The
company operates in the German healthcare market, which is
characterised by positive long-term demand driven by demographic
trends. Since its inception in 1992, GHD has developed strong
relationships with the relevant stakeholders in this field, such as
hospitals, doctors, nursing homes and statutory health
insurers.
GHD's homecare business provides services in combination
with the provision of consumable medical devices that require
personal consultation and explanation. GHD does this through an
unparalleled network of approximately 1,000 nurses and
trained medical staff working in eight branches across Germany. In
addition, GHD is a leading producer of custom-made infusion
solutions for cytostatic drugs and parenteral nutrition. The
company operates through a network of certified state-of-the-art
production facilities across Germany.
Nordic Capital Fund VIII acquired a majority stake in GHD
in 2014 and will support the company to enable continued
accelerated growth, both organically and through acquisitions,
within existing homecare and adjacent healthcare segments, as well
as by developing new business areas.
