    Jon Erik Engeset resigns as CEO of SafeRoad >

    SafeRoad has over the last years made several add-on acquisitions abroad, which have led to a subsequent build-up of head office functions in Oslo. Following this, Jon Erik Engeset, the President and CEO of SafeRoad, has had to commute between ├śrsta and Oslo on a weekly basis. For private reasons, he has now decided to seek new opportunities closer to his home.

    FinnvedenBulten and GAZ sign final agreement >

    The Automotive Components division of GAZ Group, which is Russia's largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles, and FinnvedenBulten announce today that they have signed a final agreement to form a company for manufacturing fasteners at GAZ Group's plant Gorky Automobile Plant. FinnvedenBulten thereby establishes its first production facility in Russia.

    FinnvedenBulten grows its light weight business >

    FinnvedenBulten announces today that the division Finnveden Metal Structures has signed an agreement with Beijing Hainachuan Automotive Parts Co., Ltd (BHAP) and Amgain Shandong Magnesium Co., Ltd (Amgain) to form a Joint Venture for manufacturing of light weight die casted components in China. Simultaneously, the division has received a significant order from a European automotive manufacturer to deliver die cast magnesium structures. The annual value of the order is approximately 80 MSEK and the contract runs for about ten years. Both these events further strengthen FinnvedenBulten's position within die casted magnesium components.

    Local court admits application for protective shield proceedings of SiC Processing GmbH >

    The local court in Amberg has, upon application by SiC Processing GmbH on December 18, 2012, ordered debtor-in-possession proceedings in accordance with section 270b of the German Insolvency Code (Insolvenzordnung). The Court followed the proposal of the Company and appointed Dr Hubert Ampferl, partner of Nuremberg-based law firm Dr Beck & Partner, as preliminary supervisor (Sachwalter). Dr Ampferl has extensive experience of financial restructurings.
