Falck
Sector/industry:
Emergency and assistance services
Company description:
Falck’s activities are directed at prevention and assistance in situations of emergency, accidents or need. The activities are organised in four business areas: Assistance (roadside auto assistance, home assistance and building security services), Emergency (ambulance services, transport of patients, fire fighting), Health (health plans with interdisciplinary treatment, health centres, rehabilitation) and Training (rescue and safety training to the off-shore industry and the maritime sector).

Since Nordic Capital Fund V’s buy out of Falck from the public market in 2005, the company has successfully grown its business geographically within all divisions through both organic and acquisitive growth. This has created a company with leading market positions in all business areas

The focus has been on growing the roadside auto assistance subscriptions in Sweden and Norway, establishment and growing the Health business division covering approx. 15% of the Danish work force today, expanding the ambulance services business into Slovakia, Belgium, The Netherlands and Norway and expanding the Training business globally.
