Bufab
Sector/industry:
Trading of fasteners and small parts for the general industry
Company description:
Bufab is a supplier of small parts to the European industry. Bufab offers a full range of fasteners such as nuts, screws, washers, bolts, rivets and other fasteners, as well as providing standard and customer specific small parts and logistics solutions for effective distribution.

Bufab was de-merged from industrial holding company Finnveden, which was acquired through a public to private transaction from the Stockholm Stock Exchange launched in 2004. The Bufab and Finnveden businesses lacked synergies and logic for belonging to the same group, and have since the demerger been developed as independent businesses.

During Nordic Capital’s ownership period, aside from being de-merged, the company has achieved strong organic and growth in the core Nordic markets as well as internationally, and more than doubled sales, profitability and cash flow. A number of add-on acquisitions have been completed to strengthen Bufab’s presence and position throughout Europe, including in the Czech Republic, Austria, Spain, France, Finland, as well as continued organic expansion into Eastern Europe.
