Atos Medical is a medical device company focused on the areas of ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat), Head and Neck.
The main area is rehabilitation tools for patients who have undergone laryngectomy. Atos Medical products
are sold all over the world, with Europe as the main market. The company has six subsidiaries in Europe
and one in the United States as well as an extensive network of distributors in approximately 50 countries.
Atos Medical was founded in 1986 and has shown a consistent, dynamic and extensive development including a
substantial growth over the last few years. Nordic Capital Fund V acquired Atos Medical in 2005 to further
support future growth and development.
Under Nordic Capital Fund V’s ownership Atos Medical have successfully entered the Spanish and Swiss markets
and increased its presence in Germany through two add-on acquisitions in 2007. One add-on was also made in the
Netherlands in 2008 in order to broaden the product offering.
