Unilabs
Sector/industry
Laboratory and radiology services
Unilabs is a leading European supplier of laboratory and
radiology services to private and public health care units,
government bodies, insurance companies, the general public and to
parts of the pharmaceutical industry. Unilabs operates in twelve
countries in Europe.
The company was established through the combination of
Capio Diagnostics, established in Sweden in 1994, and Unilabs, a
company established in Switzerland in 1987. Unilabs aims to be a
leader in the European diagnostic services market, and will
increase its market presence by providing a superior quality
service and by playing an active role in the European
consolidation.
Unilabs was taken private from the Swiss stock exchange in
November 2007. The merger with Capio Diagnostic was completed in
September 2008 and marks the formation of the leading diagnostic
services company in Europe. Focus has been on integration of the
two businesses, operational improvement and synergetic add-ons.
