On 16 February 2012, LEAF merged with listed company Cloetta.
The new combined company has taken the name Cloetta. The new Group
is a confectionary leader in the Nordic region as well as in Italy
and the Netherlands.
Cloetta products are sold in more than 50 countries worldwide.
Cloetta owns some of the strongest brands on the market, e.g.
Läkerol, Cloetta, Jenkki, Kexchoklad, Malaco, Sportlife, Saila, Red
Band and Sperlari. Cloetta has 12 production units in six
countries. Cloetta's B-shares are traded on NASDAQ OMX
Stockholm.
The original LEAF investment was made by Nordic Capital
Fund V together with CVC Capital Partners in 2005. During Nordic
Capital's ownership there has been a strong focus on developing and
building brands, as well as improving profitability through
operational improvements including purchasing and production.
Nordic Capital will continue to own approx. 24% of listed
Cloetta
Proforma net sales for the new Cloetta is
EUR 622 mn (Pro forma for the twelve months ended August 31, 2011
excluding non-recurring items.)
