Sönke Bästlein

Joined in Aug 2008. Sönke holds a PhD in business
administration from Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University in Frankfurt
and a Diploma in Engineering from RWTH Aachen. He started his
career with McKinsey & Company, Inc. in 1991 after five years
in international plant contracting with Uhde GmbH. Sönke was
McKinsey's Frankfurt office manager from 1998 until he founded the
firm's European Asia House in 2004. In addition, he led the Private
Equity Practice in Germany and was elected Partner in 1997 and
Director in 2002.
